Our young designers come from all backgrounds with parents that are in every field imaginable, from textile, furniture, garment designers to doctors lawyers and home makers!
Its sweet when the dads bring in their little girls , with a hope and a dream!
Its not only sweet, but Its also very important to expose children at an early age. By the time these children that are interested in the industry decide to go to a fashion college, they will not only have a good foundation of fashion design, but great pieces to put in their portfolio !
You really cannot tell the difference between the career designers or the just for fun designers, every one is treated as if they will be the next top designer!

WFAC & NYFAC provides a rich introduction to many areas of the fashion industry for ages 6-17. Whether students come just to have fun , or study with the WFAC & NYFAC academy on going to prepare their portfolios for any of the fashion colleges, and even some of the art schools. We provide the foundation to build on.
WFAC & NYFAC children are excited to learn college techniques that are taught by a Parsons School of Design and Pratt Institute of Design professor and experienced industry professionals.
These children are designing fabric that they will cut and sew into skirts with their parents.
