1. Beginner Fashion Drawing~  Every designer must know how to express their ideas on paper properly ,"the butterfly project"  is  a unique program that teaches the basics NO experience necessary, beginning with the  very important "Art and Language of the Sketch." They study many design techniques to achieve their ideas, along with rendering  textiles.

What inspires and motivates designers to create?Through  the "Designer's Journey" our designers  learn to use all of their senses to get ideas,  from  being in  the midst  of  music from many cultures, or  indulging  in the sounds of the rain forest ,waterfalls,wind chimes and classical selected sound takes them on a journey.

Colors,shapes as well define style .Our pictorials such as vidrant volcanic pictures, intricate patterned beadwork from the Maasai tribe of Kenya, Gold silk embroidered cloth of Japan,exploring rock textures, etc.gives these beginners an eye full and a tactile reference that they translate into feelings thus designs.

From our studies we produce a "Trend Board", a culmination of inspiration and motivation. "Trend Board's "  map out their ideas for a successful collection !

These beginners end up having pieces that they

have re-designed from their past collections (ideas)or started a new with a better understanding of what they are doing with more forfillment!

We want them to begin to view the world as true designers do, looking and studying and interepreting for them selves and their work.

2. Intermediate Fashion Drawing~Learn to express their  clothing categories,some painting of fabrics.(See above).

3. Advanced Fashion Drawing~Designing and focusing on the painting of the fabrics (textiles), for designs and back views. (Designer journey).

4.Beginner Designer Collections~Students will design and create their own groups of fashions and painted textiles for their portfolio.(See above designer journey).

5. Designer Boutique~ Students will create a mock boutique and the designs that will be sold within.Students will learn how to own and operate their boutique, business set up and practices.

After School "Fashionista Designers Club"

Your school should be in on all of the latest fashion fun for the Fashionistas !

 The "Fashionista Designers Club" after school program is now available  and is in many of the Westchester Schools and growing! We believe this to be true because of the program that has been developed by fashion designer Denise Proctor.

Mrs.Proctor has designed tutus for prima ballerinas to collections for Saks Fifth Avenue and music industry singers but always loved teaching and working with children mixing art and fashion.

Denise has created a program just for children that she's taken years to develop offered under the umbrella of the Westchester Fashion Academy for Children. Now she's tailored this unique 0ne hour program just for the after school population, the "Fashionista Designers Club"

These children will learn fashion techniques that designers use to sketch out their collections,enjoy the very  popular tissue textiles, use brilliant water colors to show off their textiles etc. Travel virtually through cultures to understand and compare their ways of designing.

Children love working expanding their ideas and exploring possibilities, We open a whole new world for the children and watch as they delight in this wonderful area called "Fashion"

Have you ever dreamed of owning your own boutique?  We believe Children , given the chance and the tools to own and operate their own business (Boutique)in theory, will bring wonderfully fresh and funky ideas to the table to sucessfully sell their fashion designs!Here it is, you may have the answer to what people or chldren are looking for ! GO FOR IT !

Part of the fun is  when these soon to be Job hunters (Or Business Owners ) Take a HARD LOOK at who THEY would hire not realizing that they are actually critiquing them selves ! What a great learning experience!
